History: They were started by Cilandra Mirond and her sister Estellan they cut their tongues out and became the first Silent Sisters. At first it was just a vigilante group, but soon the girls began caring for children that were out on the street or orphaned. They became a large family of girls and if a girl decided to join the clan then they would take their rights and then cut out their own tongue with the ceremonial dagger that had been used since the first. They had a way of communicating with each other, using signs to speak to their fellow sisters.
